Access to Affordable Behavioral Health Care Not As Easy As It Seems
Recent events and nationally debated issues have brought Mental and Behavioral Health to the front pages and top of our minds. Although we as a Nation have come a long way in addressing this topic, we are still facing an uphill climb in the quest to make it easier for people battling behavioral health issues to get and afford the care they deserve. Mental health problems, including addiction disorders, seem to be often disregarded by the masses as not serious enough or having only to do with a small unimportant part of the population. Maybe this is why insurance companies have continuously managed to deny critical and necessary care in the Behavioral Health specialties.
